While Dr Mawe is happy to take on new patients, please be aware that any new patients to him - including those who are new to the practice or existing patients seeing him for the first time (except DVA Gold Card holders) - will be privately billed – no bulk billing or concession rates apply. Current patients to Dr Mawe will continue to be mixed billed. Medicare rebates apply
As of 4th August 2025, Dr Mawe will be a fully private billing GP.
Care Plans and Health Assessments are still bulk billed. Weekend and public holiday rates may vary.

Dr. Eoin Mawe is a dedicated GP at Tweed Health for Everyone, committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to his patients.

Originally from Cork, Ireland, he graduated from University College Cork in 2008. What began as a working holiday to Australia the following year quickly turned into a permanent move, drawn in by the Gold Coast’s beachside lifestyle. Here, he met his wife and is now a proud father of two boys, with hopes of growing his family in the future. 

Dr. Eoin spent five invaluable years in hospital medicine, gaining experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, oncology, and various medical and surgical specialties before transitioning to general practice in 2013. He thrives on the privilege of supporting patients through all stages of life, from newborn care to end-of-life support.

He holds a strong sense of responsibility in caring for Australia’s returned war veterans and is passionate about making quality healthcare accessible. 

 Dr. Eoin is experienced in managing a wide range of conditions. He works closely with a trusted network of local specialists and allied health practitioners to ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to their needs.

He is available five days a week and aims to provide timely and accessible care, reserving same-day appointments for regular patients when they are unwell.

Dr. Eoin is dedicated to building long-term, trusting relationships with his patients and delivering the highest standard of care.
